Andrea is an expert in employment law and benefits. He assists clients in relation to industrial relations and individual and collective dismissals and has steered numerous multinationals through restructurings. He has significant experience of advising clients on occupational safety, outsourcing contracts, consultancy contracts and freelance arrangements, executive and upper management exits, stock option plans, MOBs, agents and their specific contractual rights, the transfer of going concerns and disposals and in all employment law-related litigation.

He has particular experience of representing and defending members of upper management.

Andrea graduated in law in July 1995 from the La Sapienza University in Rome (after 3 years studying Economics and Commerce); he was called to the Bar in October 1998 in Rome; he completed a 2 year course at the Notary School of “Anselmo Anselmi” in Rome in 1996/1997 and completed his Notary traineeship in 1997.
In 2005, 2006, 2007 he was a Professor of Employment Law in the undergraduate course at the La Sapienza University in Rome, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. Since 2006 he has taught numerous specialised training courses including in Anthropology, Sociology and Risk Management. Since 2007, Andrea has held a number of conferences and seminars on employment law, privacy and controlling employees, the legal figure of the Compliance Officer, and since 2010 has participated in several workshops. Since 2011 he has been a member of the Rome Bar Association’s Employment Law Project. Since 2013 he has taught a training course for the Italian Red Cross. In 2016 he obtained rights of audience to the Supreme Court.

Giacomo provides tax and corporate advice to leading companies in a range of sectors, from logistics and express couriers, private care homes that have special arrangements with the NHS, petroleum companies and renewable energy operators, maritime transportation companies, manufacturers and others. He has particular experience in advising on tax aspects relating to Municipalities and Public Entities in general. Giacomo advises clients on special projects and reorganisations (mergers, demergers and transfers, etc.) and liquidations and insolvencies. He provides specialist opinions on the assessment of going concerns, financial consultancy services and business plans. He sits on board of statutory auditors. Giacomo also has significant experience of assisting and representing clients in tax litigation and with the Tax Authorities in general.

He acts as a technical consultant and in particular has acted as a technical expert in legal proceedings and in investigations into financial statements, measures pursuant to Article 2409 of the Civil Code, and in assessing and establishing damages in civil litigation in general.

Giacomo was a tax adviser, the role of partner, for ten years in one of the country’s leading auditing companies (one of the big four), where he provided specialist tax advice in relation to controls into the certification of financial statements, having assisted companies operating in a range of sectors.
